Regarding payments, after downloading the international version of Alipay and linking a VISA card, you can almost always successfully make payments in China at stores, supermarkets, tourist attractions, and on public transportation, whether you present your payment QR code or scan the merchant's QR code.

Most small shops at tourist spots also accept this method. However, for amounts exceeding 200 RMB, there is a 3% transaction fee. To avoid this fee, you can split the payment into several smaller amounts. Most small merchants are willing to accommodate this. Additionally, having some cash on hand is always a good backup plan.
